Similar to the game Hell Let Loose, it assigns you one of the roles in Scout, Assault, Anti-Tank, Medic, and Engineer which is still one of the active features in modern Battlefield games. but excel in gameplay due to the number of things you can do with your boys. The graphics are very much similar to some of the FPS games at that time that includes Medal of Honour, Call of Duty, Desert Storm, etc. The single-player mode and the multiplayer mode were fun and the best part is that the multiplayer mode is still alive even after 2 decades. If you look at the game closely, you will find many similarities between it and the new Battlefield games for sure. Battlefield 1942 let use warcraft, tanks, artillery, jeeps, submarines, and machine guns from World War II.

And then, about 4 or 5 percent of the way in, it stopped and said somethign along the lines of 'BF2 installation failed, please restart install from the beginning'. It finally did, I started install and it finally went.

Same problem: the MBP wouldn't accept the disk. It froze up a couple of times, so I restarted. This happened almost 10 times until finally when viewing 'My Computer', the MBP accepted the disk. I inserted the first disc (1 of 5) and my MBP spit it right back out. Yesterday, I tried to install Battlefield 2 Deluxe Edition onto Windows. By the time I got Windows installed it seemed to be running ok, until yesterday. There would be an error, I would have to eject the disk, reboot, and the promised 39 minutes seemed to be 5 times slower than it actually was. Installing Windows took me about 4 hours. So I've taken the leap and installed Windows XP Home on my MacBook Pro.
